Aida’s Keto Chili

This hearty and flavorful keto chili is perfect for meal prep. Packed with protein and healthy fats, it’s a satisfying, low-carb dish that tastes even better the next day!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 lb sweet Italian sausage (casings removed)

  • 1 medium onion, diced

  • 1 green bell pepper, diced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 small can (6 oz) tomato paste

  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes

  • 1 tbsp chili powder

  • ½ tbsp cumin

  • ⅓ cup water

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Optional Toppings:

  • Sour cream

  • Scallions, sliced

  • Diced avocado

  • Shredded cheese

Instructions:

  1. Brown the Meat: In a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat, cook the ground beef and sausage together, breaking them apart as they brown. Do not drain the fat—it adds flavor and keeps this dish keto-friendly.

  2. Sauté the Vegetables: Add the diced onion, green pepper, and minced garlic to the pot. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onions become translucent.

  3. Add the Tomatoes & Spices: Stir in the tomato paste, diced tomatoes, chili powder, and cumin. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  4. Simmer: Pour in the ⅓ cup of water, stir well, and bring to a gentle simmer. Cover and let cook on low for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to blend the flavors.

  5. Serve & Garnish: Ladle into bowls and top with sour cream, scallions, diced avocado, or shredded cheese for extra richness and texture.
